COVID-19 Annoucement

by | Mar 13, 2020

In compliance with current regulations and directives from the State of Washington and King County Health and Human Services, we will be making the following changes:

Board Meetings: The meeting scheduled for March 25 at The Shop has been changed to an online Zoom meeting. A link will be provided to those members who may be interested in attending electronically. The April board meeting will also be held via Zoom. This is in compliance with the recommended pause on in-person meetings until April 24. An ATS notification will be sent out prior to the April board meeting.

Tours: There are no immediate changes to the tour schedule. Tours with one or two people per car meet the currently recommended social distance. Driver meetings will be held outside and people will be encouraged to adhere to social distance recommendations.

Track Events: The Car Control Clinic and HPDE event scheduled for April 10 at Pacific Raceways has been canceled. The remainder of the 2020 track event schedule is unchanged at this time.  The schedule may be re-evaluated as necessary as federal, state and local guidelines continue to change.

Other Events: The first large social gathering, Burgers and BMWs, is not scheduled until May 24. It is premature to make changes to the schedule at this time. However, we think that this event and our other large, outdoor events provide enough space for social distancing. We are proceeding with the planning for these events.

All members need to follow official guidelines that apply to their personal needs. All events organized and sponsored by the Puget Sound Chapter BMWCCA will be in compliance with current recommendation from the Washington State Department of Health and King County. A statement from BMWCCA can be found at:

It is our sincere wish that everyone to stay healthy and that this crisis passes quickly. Until then, we will continue to adhere to currently recommended safety practices. Updates will be disseminated via ATS. It is more important than ever to make sure we have your current email address.

Plans for the 50th Anniversary Celebration on July 26 are in full swing! We look forward to seeing everyone soon.
